This syrup will keep for a week, refrigerated. Reheat gently before serving.

cup pecans, toasted and chopped |

tablespoons unsalted butter |

teaspoon vanilla extract |

Simmer all ingredients together in small saucepan over medium-low heat until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes. Serve.
