Ramana and Ethics

On being asked whether it was not the duty of a Sage to

act and preach the Truth to all people, Ramaṇa replied,

“If a man awakes from a dream, does he ask: ‘Have

those men that I saw in the dream awakened? This is

like a dreamer saying, ‘I shall not awake until all these

dream-men awake.’
