Be happy in between

Life’s purest joys are not found in the happy-ever-after, but in the happy-in-between: those moments of connection with a loved one; a sky so perfectly blue it looks painted on; the blissful abandon of a dog running full tilt off-leash in the park.

Try not to focus on a grand end goal or prize — the job, the partner, the home, the weight loss. Instead, pay attention to the little things. Enjoy the moment, but don’t try to hold it captive or chase an encore. Appreciate it for what it is: an exquisite snapshot in time.
