Friday, Morning
The next morning, when Akriti woke up, a message was waiting for her on the SMS Detective group.
‘I know how to make Punit and his partner sit on a table next to us! Dad is getting ready. Will pick you up in twenty minutes. Be ready!’
Hurriedly she woke Aditya and both of them got ready. Kabir was outside their house in twenty minutes on the dot.
‘How are we going to make them sit by us?’ Aditya asked as soon as he sat in Chief Walia’s car.
‘We’ll take Bilal’s help!’ Kabir replied with a huge smile on his face.
‘Bilal?’ Aditya and Akriti looked guiltily at each other.
‘Come on, guys. He doesn’t know he was our prime suspect. Correct, Dad?’ Kabir asked his father.
‘Yes. And you do need his help,’ Chief Walia said as he swerved his car agitatedly. With every passing minute, the stakes were getting higher.
‘Will you be in the café too, Uncle?’ Akriti asked.
‘No. I can’t be seen in there. All the players have met me and know I am the Police Chief. So, if I come in, they might not give themselves away. I will be waiting right outside the café. On your signal, I will move in.’
