Free—Print magazines come and go, but there are numerous publications available free at dispensaries.
There are lots of premix soils. Here are some names to look for, though don’t overlook local brands. It might be helpful to get recommendations at a grow store if you are new to indoor soils.

Ed Rosenthal was an early Cannabis entrepreneur and pioneer in the legalization movement. He paid the price for seed development and sale during prohibition. His books are available through his website, www.edrosenthal.com

True Living Organics: The Ultimate Guide to Growing All-Natural Marijuana Indoors, 2nd ed. 2016, by The Rev, an early organic convert who quickly became a guru to others he converted.
What Is Wrong with My Marijuana Plant? A Cannabis Grower’s Visual Guide to Easy Diagnosis and Organic Remedies, paperback 2018, by David Deardorff and Kathryn Wadsworth. They have a similar book for tomatoes.
