PREFACE
Our grand universe has oft-been labelled using the following adjectives:
Infinite. Majestic. Intimidating. Perilous. Intriguing.
The aforementioned words could not be any more dissimilar and yet in the third part of the Red Rover peregrination, each of them is reinforced during the trials and tribulations that touch our audacious heroes.
As Martin Luther King Jr once opined:
“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”
Dr. Donovan Marius has watched his seven students evolve from careless neophytes into poised cadets in what feels like both an eternity and a blink of an eye.
Their journey to this particular stage has been filled with highs and lows—the numbers on each side—too robust to count.
Yet through their struggles, the cadets have never lost sight of the bigger picture. The picture that Marius had visually painted for them on more than one occasion during their pre-adventures on the Rover Base.
Their ability to sustain themselves while on this odyssey is not predicated on any one member of the team. Theirs is a collective, understanding that their adaptability in the face of overwhelming odds—is why they not only live—but thrive.
