A boy is a body stretched everywhere.

I came here tremendous

in a suit of gunshots

how restlessly

in a hat of sleeplessness

otherwise humble.

Further north another

noise knelt beside me

another breathing

hard to understand

and the new rain

straddling cornstalks.

I came here incredulously

like one thought

approaching another

for the first time

visibly wary but

nodding along fiendishly.

Hello Friend. This

is my everyday sweater

my chinstrap rattling.

Never mind the sinkholes

I kept moving

at times sheepishly

others grinding my seasons

and scenes together

until I came here

of many minds,

above ground,

where it’s April everywhere

so incredible

and smashing everyone

who looks at it.
