I got a terrarium
with attached warming light
and this marvelous
label maker,
& a blue-plastic-
bowling lady
on the kitchen table
dwarfed by a lemon
in the darkening house.
Farewell torments,
I will take
your bagged leaves.
I will pick up your laundry
and make with it a fence
in the new backdrop
we can hike back and forth.
I got a worm farm and
this alphabet puzzle mat
and some items just for staging,
like a pillow that props up your back—
A husband. Two chairs
in front of morning and
I’m looking for a snow coat,
no bells or whistles.
Me and my family
will come pick your apples.
