Brisket Sloppy Joe Sliders  
Makes 12 sliders     20 minutes     Stove
Sometimes all you need is a little nibble. This brisket infused classic will help stave off the impatience of your hungriest meat lovers. It’s perfect for a top notch tailgate.
2 tablespoons butter
1 onion, diced
1 bell pepper, diced
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 cup Savory Mustard Sauce (found in Top This )
1 cup Slap Yo Mama BBQ Sauce (found in Top This)
1½ pounds leftover Big Beautiful Brisket (found in this chapter) , chopped
12 slider buns
  1. In a large saucepan over medium-high heat on the stovetop, add the butter, onion, bell pepper and garlic, and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  2. Stir in the Savory Mustard Sauce and the Slap Yo Mama BBQ Sauce, and reduce the heat to low.
  3. Cover and simmer the sauce for 10 minutes.
  4. Fold in the chopped brisket and simmer for 5 additional minutes before serving warm with the slider buns.
These sloppy joe sliders are a lot like mini burnt end sandwiches. Wash them down with a fine Pilsner beer straight out of the can.
