STYLE PREP
Prepping your hair and having the right supplies ready to use are just as important as the actual hairstyle itself. Start your braiding off right!
Applying Dry Shampoo
Dry shampoo is a wonderful way to extend the time in between washing your hair. It also provides texture for silkier hair types.
1 Holding the can 6 inches (15.25cm) from your scalp, spray a coat of dry shampoo along your part line.
2 Take sections parallel to your original part and spray dry shampoo onto the part lines.
3 After spraying all of the sections, let the product dry completely and turn white.
4 Place your fingers throughout the areas where you sprayed and rub in the product thoroughly.
SUPPLIES
Bobby pins
Make sure you have plenty of bobby pins out and ready before you start styling your hair.
Elastic bands
Use small elastics instead of larger, bulkier ponytail holders to secure your braids.
