HEAVEN

Imagine a place where there is no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. Figuratively speaking, sounds like heaven, doesn’t it? Well, according to God’s Word, that is literally what heaven is like. The risen Jesus has gone before us to prepare a home for all who name Him as their Lord and Savior, and He waits with open arms for each of us to join Him. To join Him for eternity.

“You shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.”

JOHN 1:51

We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of your love for all the saints; because of the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel, which has come to you, as it has also in all the world, and is bringing forth fruit, as it is also among you since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth.

COLOSSIANS 1:3–6

“Heaven is My throne,
And earth is My footstool.
Where is the house that you will build Me?
And where is the place of My rest?
For all those things My hand has made,
And all those things exist,”
Says the LORD.
“But on this one will I look:
On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit,
And who trembles at My word.”

ISAIAH 66:1–2

“I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. But I said to you that you have seen Me and yet do not believe. All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”
