MAKE YOUR LIFE SPIRITUALLY FRUITFUL

God’s Word teaches that the world will know who His people are because of the way we love, but love is just one fruit of a life dedicated to Jesus. The presence of the Holy Spirit in God’s people means the additional fruit of joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Such traits are evidence of the life-transforming work God’s Spirit does to make His people—to make you—more like Jesus Christ.

“These are the [seeds] sown on good ground, those who hear the word, accept it, and bear fruit: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.”

MARK 4:20

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.”

JOHN 15:5–7

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

GALATIANS 5:22–26

“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.”

JOHN 15:16
