PRAY WITH YOUR LOVED ONES

At best, on this side of heaven, we can have only a vague idea of the power and the efficacy of our prayers. God calls us to pray constantly about anything, any person, any situation that concerns us. Even before we do, our good and gracious God is at work in the situation for the good of people involved and for His glory. Pray with loved ones; pray for loved ones. Pray with confidence in God and His good plans. Pray with the expectation that God is at work for the good of the people involved, for growth in their relationship with Him, and for His glory that others might see and pursue Him.

The LORD is near to all who call upon Him,
To all who call upon Him in truth.
He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him;
He also will hear their cry and save them.

PSALM 145:18–19

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

PHILIPPIANS 4:4–7

Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. . . . Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
