TRY TO HONOR HIM WITH YOUR LIFE

To be dedicated is to be set apart for a specific purpose or honor. To dedicate one’s life to God means having a new purpose in life: serving Him, sharing the truth of Jesus, loving others. And the opportunity to dedicate your life to God is in itself an honor. Here’s something to think about—not to beat yourself up about, but just to think about. If someone looked at you—if that person looked at your calendar, your checkbook register, your home, your use of your time—what evidence would he see that you are dedicated to Jesus?

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”

JOHN 14:12–14

“In that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.”

JOHN 16:23–24

I will greatly rejoice in the LORD,
My soul shall be joyful in my God;

For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation,

He has covered me with the robe of righteousness,

As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments,

And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

For as the earth brings forth its bud,

As the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth,

So the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.
