CHRIS ASHLEY

Chris Ashley is a headteacher in the north of England. He loves school journeys and still goes to an outdoor pursuits centre every year with the Year Six children at his school.

They do all of the things that Wasim and his friends planned to do, and Chris gets just as excited as the children. He loves the quad bikes, and being in the fresh air, but what nobody knows is that he has a terrible fear of heights.

The very worst thing that he hears each year is when it is time to go on the highest zip wire in Europe. “Are you having a turn, Sir?” the instructors ask. “No!” he wants to scream, but he has to smile and nod, and then try not to let the children hear his knees banging together.
