Current Secret History

With his family by his side, Donald Trump is sworn in as the 45th president of the United States by Chief Justice of the United States John G. Roberts Jr. in Washington, DC, Jan. 20, 2017.

Even many Trump supporters fully understand that his claims of “Fake News” is simply a method by him and his administration to rally his base into not questioning some of the absurdities that Trump has claimed both pre and post his first term in office.

Without a doubt, Trump himself has uttered quite a few fake news items.

But as you now hopefully can see after reading America’s Secret History, the truth is that America’s media has most certainly been the mecca of fake news.

Where was America’s free press media during the King family 1999 civil lawsuit against the government? Where were the headlines on the front pages of every American newspaper the very next day shouting that a jury of twelve African American and white jurors found the government guilty of killing MLK?

Where were the headlines after Sirhan B. Sirhan was denied parole for the sixteenth time for the murder of RFK, when credible evidence presented at the parole hearing showed that he was not the killer?

Where were the editorials in all the major US newspapers and radio and television outlets calling for the posthumous impeachment of President Lyndon Baines Johnson when Ellsberg’s Pentagon papers were released showing that the President lied to Congress and the American people concerning the Gulf of Tonkin incident, illegally and immorally escalating a war that killed millions of people?

Where were the editorials in all the major US newspapers and radio and television outlets calling for the impeachment of George W. Bush after he illegally took the country into war with Iraq when every UN observer found no WMD’s or any evidence of terrorist activities?

Where were the newspaper and magazine articles and TV and radio commentators questioning the loopholes in the official story of the 2013 Boston Massacre arrest of the two Muslim brothers?

And, of course, the height of fake news—the Yellow Journalism of the late 1890s where two New York newspaper owners exaggerated, and in some cases, fabricated news, which incited America’s citizens to endorse the imperialistic war of 1898.

Until America’s media owns up to its responsibility to report the truths behind the stories, America’s secret history will continue.
