Side-Swept Wrapped Style

This Side-Swept Wrapped Style is a great way to wear your hair down but still dress it up a bit. With a few twists here and there this style is a cross between a ponytail and half updo, which makes this super easy and quick to do. Throw some curls into the ends of your hair and you’ll be ready to hit the town!

MATERIALS

  1. Comb all the hair over the left shoulder. Then create a twist starting behind the right ear and working towards the left, stopping at the nape of the neck, behind the left ear.

  2. Slide a pin vertically into the twist and push it towards the right ear so it rests horizontally along the head. This will help the twist stay in place more securely. Add in two or three more pins if the twist isn’t tight enough.

  3. Pick up a small section of hair, along the hairline on the left side of the head, from the part down to the left ear. Twist the entire section upwards, towards the back of the head.

  4. Pin this section so it meets at the first twisted piece. Then spritz the style with hairspray and smooth the hair over the shoulder again.

UPDO EXTRAS

Use a curling iron with a larger barrel, 112", to create a wave in the hair, or create a tight curl with a smaller 1" curling iron before beginning the hairstyle. You can also back-comb the hair at the crown to add a little volume before beginning the style.
