There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It’s called the Rainbow Bridge because of its many colors. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge there is a meadow filled with sweet grass and wild flowers and a stream of fresh, sweet, clear water. When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food, water, spring weather and companions. The old and frail animals are young again. Those who were maimed are made whole. They play all day and get along. There is only one thing missing. They are not with their special person they loved on Earth and who loved them. So, each day they run and play until the day comes when one of them suddenly stops and looks up expectantly. The nose twitches, the ears are up and the eyes are sparkling. This one runs from the group with joyful noises. You have been seen and when you and your pet meet, there is a loving embrace. Your face is kissed again and again and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet. Then you cross the bridge together into Heaven never to be separated again.
