Barrie Roberts, “The Mystery of the Addleton Curse”. Roberts (1939-2006) was a criminal lawyer, though he had also worked as a journalist, computer programmer and lecturer, in his latter days lecturing on ghosts and unsolved mysteries. He was a tireless Sherlockian having developed his own chronology of the cases from which he wove a series of novels which included Sherlock Holmes and the Railway Maniac, Sherlock Holmes and the Devil's Grail and Sherlock Holmes and the Man from Hell.
