Sweet Blueberry and Romaine Green Smoothie Recipe

Blueberries are packed with healthy antioxidants and romaine lettuce offers many excellent nutrients as well. This recipe combines crisp romaine with sweet blueberries and it’s a winning combination. The addition of the apple adds more fiber and the lime gives the green smoothie a nice zip.

What You’ll Need:

- ¾ cup of frozen blueberries

- 2 cups of purified water

- 1 green apple, chopped

- 1 head of romaine lettuce

- ¼ lime, peeled

How to Make It:

Wash the apple and then chop it into chunks. Wash the romaine lettuce and dry thoroughly. Peel the rind off the piece of lime.

Add the water to the blender and then place the romaine lettuce in the blender. Blend until the lettuce and water make a smoothie, liquid mixture. Add the lime, apple chunks and the frozen blueberries and continue to blend. Blend until the smoothie reaches your preferred consistency. Add more water if needed to thin the mixture.
