For this smoothie, you will want to use frozen strawberries, which will result in a cold, delicious smoothie that is perfect for a warm day. You can also freeze the banana called for, but if you do this, make sure you freeze the banana in chunks so it is easier to blend. When the weather is hot, you will want to whip up this smoothie several times a day to beat the heat. In fact, it continues to be a great, refreshing drink, even after you finish the green smoothie cleanse plan.
What You’ll Need:
- 1 banana, chopped and frozen
- 1 cup of red grapes, seedless
- 1 cup of frozen strawberries
- ½ head of fresh romaine lettuce
How to Make It:
Take the time to wash the grapes and the romaine lettuce. Make sure you peel and chop the banana ahead of time, placing the chunks in the freezer for a few hours.
Place the grapes in the bottom of the blender. Blend until the grapes start creating a liquid. Add the romaine lettuce and continue blending. If needed, add a little water so you end up with a smooth mixture of grapes and lettuce. Add the frozen strawberries and frozen banana pieces. Continue blending until you have a cold, thick smoothie. Add more water as needed. Makes 1 big serving, so double if you are serving more than one person. Enjoy while cold.
