Pear, Apple and Banana Green Smoothie Recipe

Pears, apples and bananas come together in this wonderful green smoothie recipe inspired by a recipe from KimberlySnyder.net. Along with the sweet fruits, the smoothie includes celery, cilantro, romaine lettuce, spinach and parsley. What You’ll Need:

- 1 banana

- 2 cups of fresh spinach leaves

- ½ bunch of cilantro

- ½ bunch of parsley

- 1 head of romaine lettuce

- ½ lemon

- 4 stalks of celery

- 1 pear

- 1 apple

- 2 cups of purified water

How to Make It:

Wash the spinach, romaine, celery, parsley and cilantro. Chop the romaine lettuce and cut the celery into chunks. Wash the pear and the apple. Remove their cores and then cut into chunks. Peel and chunk the banana. Peel the lemon and remove any seeds.

Add the celery, romaine, cilantro, parsley, spinach and water all in your blender, putting the water at the very bottom of the blender. Turn on the slowest speed and begin blending. Increase speed as needed to turn the ingredients into a smooth liquid. Once smooth, remove the lid and add the lemon, banana chunks, pear chunks and apple chunks to the blender. Start on slow again and then begin increasing the speed until the speed is on high. Keep blending until the smoothie reaches the consistency you desire.

Makes 5 12-ounce servings. Enjoy one serving and save the rest for later in the day, making sure you refrigerate the servings you do not drink right away.
