Papaya is known for the antioxidants and beta-carotene that it provides, making it a super healthy fruit. The papaya gives this green smoothie a tropical flare and the lime juice compliments the papaya nicely. The recipe makes a nice 20oz green smoothie that you are sure to enjoy.
What You’ll Need:
- 3 cups of chopped spinach leaves, fresh
- 2 cups of sunflower sprouts
- 1 cup of purified water
- 2 limes, juiced
- 2 cups of diced papaya
How to Make It:
Peel the papayas and cut into chunks. Was the spinach and sprouts before using. Juice the limes and reserve the lime juice.
Pour the purified water into your blender, making sure it goes in first. Add sunflower sprouts and spinach leaves to the blender. Begin to blend on low, blending until it becomes a smooth mixture. Take off the lid and add in the diced papaya and the lime juice. Keep blending, increasing the speed until your smoothie is the right consistency. Enjoy and store any leftovers in the refrigerator to enjoy later in the day or the next day. Do not save the smoothie for more than two days.
