Orange Juice and Berry Blend Green Smoothie Recipe

The orange juice gives you a large dose of vitamin C and all of the berries provide plenty of important antioxidants as well. This smoothie also includes plenty of potassium and iron, which are both important parts of your diet. If you feel like you are fighting a cold or the flu, try this green smoothie recipe. It should give your immune system a nice boost, helping you fight off sickness.

What You’ll Need:

- 1 cup of frozen blueberries

- 1 cup of frozen raspberries

- 2 cups of fresh spinach leaves

- 2 medium bananas

- ¾ cup of freshly squeezed orange juice

- ¾ cup of purified water

How to Make It:

Wash the spinach leaves. Peel the bananas and then cut them into chunks. Squeeze the orange juice from fresh oranges.

Pour the purified water and the orange juice into your blender. Add the spinach leaves and start blending on low. Continue until your mixture is smooth. Open and add the frozen blueberries, frozen raspberries and the chunks of banana. Close the lid and begin blending again. Start slow and then increase the speed. Stop when you reach the consistency that you want for your smoothie. Makes two servings.
