Antioxidant Rich Lime, Mint and Spinach Green Smoothie Recipe

When you want a smoothie packed with antioxidants that will fight off free radicals, you will definitely want to make this smoothie. The cantaloupe includes plenty of vitamin C, vitamin A and beta carotene, all of which help to boost your immune system. Blueberries add more antioxidants, the mint will help to settle the digestive system and you’ll enjoy other important nutrients from other healthy ingredients, such as the spinach, lime and apple.

What You’ll Need:

- 2 cups of chopped cantaloupe

- ½ lime, juiced

- 1 cup of purified water

- 2 cups of fresh spinach leaves

- 1 granny smith apple

- 1 mint sprig

- ½ cup of frozen blueberries

How to Make It:

Wash the spinach leaves and the mint spring. Remove the rind from the cantaloupe and cut into chunks. Juice the lime. Core the apple and chop.

Place the water and the fresh spinach leaves into the blender. Start blending the spinach and water on low. Once smooth, add the cantaloupe, lime, apple, mint sprig and frozen blueberries to the blender. Continue blending. Once it comes to the desired thickness, pour into glasses and enjoy. Makes 2 servings.
