Continuing to work with Yellow Ochre, Raw Umber and Burnt Sienna, we can mix them with white and black to create a range of tonal values of each color. For each color wheel, first add the pure color to the wheel, then mix it with varying amounts of white, white and black, and black to achieve many tones of that color.
These color wheels show the ranges of the pure colors mixed with white and black. Remember, you open up the possibility of many, many more color values when you mix these pure colors together as we did in the Mixing Skin Tones section.
