Sergeant Edgar Patino, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, pleaded guilty November 2010 to avoid being executed for the killing of SPC Army Megan Touma. She was 7 months pregnant with his child. She was killed on Ed Edwards’ birthday in Fort Bragg, North Carolina at the Fairfield Inn. Edwards left the Zodiac sign in lipstick on a mirror in the room and wrote two letters to the press and police claiming the Zodiac did it and was at the scene.

Scott Peterson, Modesto, California. Found guilty of killing his pregnant wife Laci Peterson in 2004 and sentenced to death in San Quentin.

Michael Skakel, Greenwich, Connecticut. Arrested and convicted in 2002 for the 1975 killing of Martha Moxley on Halloween. Skakel granted a new trial and released in November, 2013.
