Burton Abbott, Berkeley, California, executed March 17th 1957, executed for the killing of 14 year old Stephanie Bryan, April 28th, 1955. Edwards killed her, planted her body behind Abbott’s cabin and led the San Francisco Examiner to her body to frame him. He was sent to the gas chamber at San Quentin, March 17th 1957. Edwards was in Deer Lodge Prison Montana at the time of the execution and received parole from the Montana Board of Pardons and Parole in 1959. He went to Portland Oregon and killed again.
Carl Jorgenson, Edward Jorgenson and Robert Brom, Portland, Oregon, taken to trial 1968-70 in Portland for Edwards’ November 27th, 1960 killing of Larry Peyton and Beverly Allen on a lover’s lane. Two convicted; one, Carl, acquitted. Edwards killed everyone in the Zodiac Killings during the trial of these three innocent men.
