½ cup (1 stick) butter, melted
1 large egg
1 tablespoon plus 4 teaspoons orange juice, divided
¾ cup chopped pecans
30 to 36 pecan halves
1 cup confectioners’ sugar
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl combine the bread mix, butter, egg, and 1 tablespoon of the orange juice. Stir in the chopped pecans. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Press a pecan half into the center of each cookie. Bake 12 to 14 minutes, or until lightly browned. Cool 1 minute before removing to wire racks.
In a small bowl whisk the confectioners’ sugar and the remaining 4 teaspoons orange juice. Drizzle over the cookies.
