1 (18-ounce) roll refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1½ cups sugar
2 large eggs
½ teaspoon vanilla
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Slice the cookie dough in half. Slice one of the halves into ¼-inch pieces and arrange in a 13 × 9-inch baking pan. Press together to cover the bottom of the pan.
In a large bowl combine the cream cheese, sugar, eggs, and vanilla with an electric mixer. Pour over the cookie dough in the pan.
Slice the remaining half of the cookie dough roll into pieces, and place as close together as possible on top of the cream cheese mixture. (If needed, break some pieces of the dough to fill in large spaces.) Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until browned. Cool and then cut into squares.
Makes 12 to 15 squares
