Specialties for breakfast or teatime—or anytime
When discussing pastries, the issue of when to eat them—before or after a meal—becomes moot. They do make great desserts, but serving them seems to be appropriate almost any time. Scones are good to have on hand as a delightful accompaniment to a spontaneous tea. Sticky buns can make breakfast special. Coffee cake or muffins can cozy up to a cup of coffee any time of day.
