The days are noticeably shorter now. The lamps flicker on in late afternoon and the city takes on a gloomy glow. Of course, this glow at other times of the year is revered, but in November, it means one thing: We are descending into the dark season. With the trees now bare of leaves, architectural details reveal themselves. A nice, but small benefit to an otherwise bleak time.
