2 Friday Vendredi Week 48
I don’t quite understand the ornaments in Paris. Sure there is the typique Nutcracker soldier and ballerina, which are definitely Noël-esque, but then they have other ornaments that have a vague tie-in to the holiday.
They go mad for carp and love to dangle this fish from the branches of les sapins. “Jesus fed the village with fish” thing? Is it an obscure reference to Christmas dinner? Though usually lamb or goose is the main protein of the day. Or do they simply like how fish scales shimmer in the light?
Qui sait?
