Acknowledgments
Five books in to the Cumberland Creek series, and two e-novellas, I’m still thrilled to be here and still grateful to readers for taking time to read my books, leave me reviews, and write me e-mails. It’s an honor to be a part of your lives. Thank you.
As ever, I lucked out in the crazy world of publishing with a fabulous publisher and editor—Martin Biro, a writer’s dream editor. Thank you for your steadfast support for me and this series. Thank you for being the best kind of editor—smart and kind.
Special thanks to my beta readers Anne Carley, Jennifer Feller, and Amber Benson. Beta readers are a special kind of people, giving their free time to read and offer comments, suggestions, or help spot those tricky typos before I send the books off to the publisher. I remain in debt to you all.
Also, thanks so much to the folks at the Writer’s Police Academy. Much inspiration for me there, which just happened to come out in this book. I e-mailed and asked questions to several of the officers after the academy and they were always very professional and informative. Thanks guys! (You know who you are. Out of respect for your privacy and safety, I’m not using names.)
I want to give a shout out to some of the scrapbooking folks and businesses who have been very supportive: Lain Ehmann, Angela’s Happy Stamper in Herndon, VA; the Michigan Scrapbooker; the Scrapbook Super Station in Butler, PA; and Scrapbook Expo, which is a traveling scrapbook show.
Thanks so much to Sharon Bowers, my agent of many years, who never gives up on me. Here’s to many more years of an inspiring partnership!
In addition to all of the folks already mentioned, I want to acknowledge my family. I’ve taken advantage of many long road trips to work out plot points (captive audience), corralled my daughters into selling books at events (paid well in pizza), and left my husband to take them to dance and voice lessons and do homework, make sure they are fed, and so on (which he always does with much aplomb), while I run off to book signings and conferences. Thanks so much Eric, Emma, and Tess.

In gratitude,
Mollie
