Lana’s future in Libya is hinted at in the beginning of Part 2 when Curt describes her conversation with a law professor. According to Curt, she questions Professor Fitzgerald’s syllabus, but then asks: “What was it like to represent ...” The North African leader’s name isn't mentioned, but we can presume it was Gaddafi.

Lana is lying about the money wired to her account because at the end of Part 1 she describes her cousin Milton’s money problems and four children to two different wives.
