KEVIN WOODFORD After gaining a B.A. from Hull University, Kevin Woodford began his working life as Head of Department in a College of Further Education. He then embarked on a career as a chef, which took him to many of Europe’s top restaurants, and he has also undertaken food consultancy roles in the USA and for the Bulgarian Government.
Kevin’s communication skills led him to a five-year contract with BBC Radio Sheffield, where he co-hosted a weekly live spot. Offers to work in television followed – as presenter of ‘The Reluctant Cook’ for the BBC; ‘Microwave Maestro’ and ‘The Flying Cook’ for Granada’s ‘This Morning’ show; and guest appearances on many other television shows.
More recently, Kevin has proved to be a huge success on the BBC’s ‘Ready Steady Cook’ and ‘Can’t Cook, Won’t Cook’, and as a presenter on the ‘Holiday’ programmes on BBC1.
His previous books include The Reluctant Cook, Microwave Maestro, The Flying Cook and Surprise Chefs. He is also a regular columnist for Airlines of Britain magazine. When Kevin is not travelling the world as a TV presenter, he lives with his family on the Isle of Man.
