Chapter Forty-two

Alexandro rocked back on his heels. When he had turned on the television last night, he had no idea that he would find his brother, Leuters, giving an interview on Dateline, openly discussing MFS. Alexandro immediately called Interpol and alerted them of his brother’s whereabouts. Leuters had not fulfilled the terms of his probation when he fled to another country. Alexandro caught a red-eye flight to Dallas in order to witness his brother being apprehended by the authorities, but somehow Leuters had eluded them.

While Alexandro waited in the lobby of the hotel, he noticed Noah and Angeline, two of the interviewees that partnered with Leuters for the live airing of last night’s event. His heart surged with excitement. He followed them down the street, blending into a group of protesters. Not only did he get a picture of the license plate of the car that picked them up and sped off, but he got more evidence that would damn his brother.

He replayed the video of the blonde on his cell phone and laughed. It was perfect. Once again, Leuters, by association with this blonde woman who claimed to be the Mother of the Earth, had made a very powerful enemy. There were no institutions on the planet more powerful than the three religions. And they would not rest until Leuters and his little sacrilegious friends had paid for this most recent sin. He tucked his phone into his pocket and walked back to the hotel. This was a very good day.
