TURTLE IN THE SHELL MUDRA |
Adhi-mudra
This gesture helps calm your child’s nervous system. It facilitates lower abdomen breathing, while increasing vital lung capacity and oxygen flow in the throat and head.
1. Sit in easy pose, cross-legged.
2. Bring the tip of your thumbs to the base of your pinkies.
3. Bend the four other fingers of each hand, so as to hide your thumbs.
4. Join your loose fists, palms toward the sky, and then place your hands on your knees or thighs.
5. For this gesture to make more sense to your child, you can compare it to a snail hiding in its shell.
