HALF LORD OF THE FISH (SITTING VARIATION) |
Ardha matsyendrasana
This pose stretches your child’s back muscles and improves the flexibility of the spine. It also stimulates the stomach, intestines, kidneys, and facilitates digestion.
1. Sit with your legs extended in front of you.
2. Bend your right leg, bringing the right foot to the outside of your left knee.
3. Fold the left leg, bringing your left foot to the right of your right hip.
4. Twist your torso to the right as much as possible.
5. With your left hand, grab your right ankle. Your left elbow is on the exterior of your right knee, supporting your weight in the front. Your extended right arm, parallel to your body, supports your weight in the back.
6. Switch sides, inverting the crossing of your legs and twisting your torso to the left.
