HALF LOCUST |
Ardha salabhasana
This pose allows the child to feel their back. As it strengthens it, it stimulates the abdominal organs. It also reinforces the neck, leg, and thigh muscles while toning the arms, glutes, and legs.
1. Lie on your stomach, arms along your body, forehead on the floor.
2. Slightly raise your head to bring your chin onto the floor, and gaze ahead.
3. While inhaling, raise your foot up, extending your leg without bending your knee or ankle. The rest of your body remains flat on the floor.
4. Try to hold the pose a few seconds while breathing normally.
5. As you exhale, bring your foot back down.
6. Switch sides.
