Viparita navasana
This pose improves your child’s hip and spine flexibility by relaxing them. It strengthens the muscles of the back, and opens the torso, diaphragm, and solar plexus. Because the pose promotes breathing, it is recommended for stressed, tense, and nervous children.
1. Lie on your stomach, with your forehead on the floor.
2. Extend your arms above your head.
3. While inhaling, raise your arms and legs. Stop breathing and keep your balance as you hold the pose.
4. Exhale while coming back to your initial position.
