Halasana
This pose stretches your child’s lower back. It promotes relaxation and mental calm, while improving digestion.
1. Sit with legs extended in front of you, feet together. Keep your arms along your body.
2. Tilt your torso backward, lifting your feet.
3. Continue tilting your feet backward so they end up touching the floor above your head.
4. Your arms remain on the floor, palms flat.
5. Stay in position for a few seconds, breathing normally.
6. Come back to the original position, legs bent.
7. Extend your legs.
8. Repeat three times.
For the more flexible:
9. Lying on the floor, tilt your body backward to bring your feet behind your head.
You can help your child hold the pose.
