REVERSE TABLE TOP

Ardha purvottanasana

This pose improves the flexibility of your child’s pelvis and joints. It strengthens the neck, arms, wrists, legs, shoulders, and abdomen. It opens the shoulders and chest.

1. Sit with your legs extended in front of you and slightly apart.

2. Place your hands on the floor by your hips, keeping your fingers pointing toward your feet.

3. Bend your knees toward your torso.

4. Inhale as you lift your stomach toward the ceiling to get into reverse tabletop. If possible, tilt your head back. Try to hold the pose for a few seconds, breathing normally.

5. Exhale as up bring your buttocks down to the floor. Rest for three breathing cycles.

As a yogic game, you can use your child’s tabletop by setting a light and stable object on it.
