BRAIN YOGA |
Thoppukaranam
This pose, also called “super brain yoga,” helps stimulate the brain. It is recommended that it be practiced every morning to improve concentration. Some schools make their pupils practice the pose at the beginning of the school day.
1. Stand up.
2. Bring your left hand to your right ear. Grab your right lobe with your left thumb on the side adjacent your face and your index finger behind the ear.
3. With your right hand, grab the lobe of your left ear with your thumb toward your face and index behind the ear. Stick your tongue against your palate.
4. Inhale, crouching down as far as you can without resting your buttocks on the floor.
5. Exhale, as you get back up.
6. Crouch down and come back up ten times without letting go of your lobes or moving your tongue from your palate.
