WINE BISCUITS
This recipe is from one of my favorite customers. His family always enjoyed dunking these biscuits in wine while they played cards. They are great munchies whether you’re winning or losing.

2¼ TO 21/2 CUPS FLOUR
2 TEASPOONS BAKING POWDER
1/2 CUP SUGAR
1/2 CUP DRY WHITE WINE
1/2 CUP VEGETABLE OIL

1. . Preheat oven to 400°F.
2. . In a large bowl, mix together all ingredients with a wooden spoon. Mix until well blended. Turn out dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead just until dough is soft and smooth.
3. . Shape dough into balls the size of walnuts. Place on parchment-lined cookie sheets. Flatten the tops of the balls with your fingertips.
4. . Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until golden brown. Remove biscuits with a metal spatula onto wire racks for cooling. Store cooled biscuits in an airtight container.
