Shoe Cubby

This shoe cubby is designed to slide on top of a shelf in an existing unit. The vertical spacers are fixed to the top shelf, and all other shelving is adjustable. To ensure your cubby sides align with the verticals in the section the cubby will reside, it’s crucial to have the entire custom closet unit level and plumb before attempting to cut cubby sides. This project is built using predrilled closet shelf standards and other professional-level closet system parts. You can find them for sale in closet specialty shops or you can make your own comparable parts using melamine-coated particleboard.
