Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups quick-cooking oats
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Direction
- Heat oven beforehand to 165°
C (325°
F).
- Cream the white sugar, brown sugar, and butter together in a large bowl till smooth. Beat eggs into the mixture one by one, then mix in the vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt together; add the flour mix into the creamed mixture and mix till just combined. Mix the chocolate chips, walnuts, and quick oats into the mixture. Onto ungreased the baking sheets, drop heaping spoonfuls of the dough.
- In the preheated oven, bake for 12 minutes. Let cookies cool down on baking sheet for about 5 minutes then take them out to a wire rack to cool thoroughly.
