Chocolate Chip Peppermint Cookies
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Direction
- Set oven to preheat at 175°
C (350°
F). Prepare the cookie sheets by greasing them.
- Cream together the brown sugar, white sugar, and butter in a large bowl till fluffy and light. Beat egg into the mixture, then mix peppermint extracts and vanilla into the mixture. Mix together salt, baking soda, cocoa powder, and flour; mix them into the creamed mixture gradually. Mix the chocolate chips into the mixture. On the prepared cookie sheets, drop rounded spoonfuls of the dough.
- In the preheated oven, bake for 12 to 15 minutes. Let the cookies cool down on cookie sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool thoroughly.
