Fudge Crackles
Ingredients
- 7 (1 ounce) squares semisweet chocolate
- 2 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate
- 3 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 cup white sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Direction
- In a double boiler’
s top over simmering water, chop up the chocolate and melt it together with 3 tablespoons margarine or butter. Stir till melted. Take it out of hot water and let it cool down slightly.
- Mix together the salt, baking powder and flour and put aside.
- Beat together the eggs and sugar till thick and creamy. Mix the vanilla and melted chocolate into the mixture. Add the flour mixture into the mix until well incorporated. Add the chocolate chips and nuts.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls about 1-1/2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake till the tops are shiny and cracked in a 350°
F (175°
C) oven for about 8 minutes. Let it cool down on the sheet for about 3-5 minutes. Take them out to the racks to cool thoroughly.
