Grandma's Drop Sugar Cookies
Ingredients
- 2 cups white sugar
- 2 cups butter, softened
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup coconut flakes
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Direction
- Set oven to 350 0 F (175 0 C) and preheat.
- In a bowl, use an electric mixer to beat together sugar and butter until smooth and creamy. Stir baking soda, salt, vanilla extract, coconut flakes and flour into creamed butter mixture until dough is smooth. Spoon the dough onto a baking sheet.
- Put in the prepared oven and bake for about 10 minutes until edges of cookies are lightly browned.
